The original short stories were titled 'Two Copper Pieces'. The name 'Skullkickers' didn't show up until later on when plans were being made for the mini-series. Coming up with a title that encompassed the series well and rolled off the tongue was harder than you may think.For quite a while it was called 'Corpse Kickers', which works almost as well but sounds more like grave robbers than monsters mashers.
